In-Memory Processing & Temporary Files

Your application does not store documents permanently. When you upload a PDF, it's held in a temporary file on the server just long enough for the AI to analyze it and for the redactions to be applied.

Immediate and Automatic Deletion

The server code guarantees that the temporary file is deleted from the server immediately after the process is complete. This happens even if an error occurs. The original file used for the final redaction is also deleted as soon as the redacted version is created and sent to you.

No Database or Long-Term Storage

The application is designed to be stateless. It does not connect to a database or have any mechanism to log or store the content of your files. Once you download the redacted PDF, the source material is gone from our server forever.

What We Automatically Remove

Our AI is trained to identify and suggest redactions for a wide range of sensitive data to protect individual and corporate privacy. This includes:

• Personal Identification (PII): Full Names, Birth Dates, Social Security Numbers (SSN), Codice Fiscale, Passport Numbers, Driver's Licenses.
• Contact Information: Phone Numbers, Email Addresses, Physical Addresses.
• Financial Data: IBANs, Credit/Debit Card Numbers, Bank Account details, Invoices, Salary information.
• Professional & Sensitive Data: Medical records, Legal documents, CVs, Usernames/Passwords, Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), and other Unique IDs.

Use of Google's Gemini API

For the AI analysis, the content of the document is sent to Google's Gemini API. It's important to be transparent about this. Google has its own strict data privacy policies for its AI services. For enterprise users, Google contractually agrees not to use customer data to train its models. While you are using a standard API key, this reflects their general approach to data governance.
